A complete re design of a one bedroom mews property to a two bedroom dwelling through a new rear extension and a basement conversion in Kensington.

The interior is designed to ensure a light and airy space through the use of simple materials that creates an open plan living and dining space which opens out to the rear garden.

Airedale Avenue,
Chiswick.

We were approached by a private client to design and submit an application for a ground floor rear extension to an Edwardian property in Chiswick.  The design involved the relocation of downstairs WC, the opening of a wall to create an open plan living and dining space that reconnects to the garden at the rear. A full height crittall doors / windows and skylights creates a light and airy space for the family.

Greyhound Road,

Sutton.

Completed 2019

We were approached by a private client to design a rear and side extension to their existing property. The site falls from north to south and current configuration meant the rear of the property is not at the same level to the garden. Our proposal was to connect the garden back to the new kitchen and dining area through a series of internal steps. By stepping down internally the design allows for a double height space for the new extension.

The new extension is proposed to be clad in timber and constructed using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs).

Interior Concept, 2017

We were approached by a private client to come up with an interior concept for a living / dining room in a property in Hampstead. The design concept was to create a light and airy space through the use of a limited pallets of materials, colours and textures. By zoning the kitchen, dining and living space, the improved layout allows for a better circulation.

"Ade Awoye Architects drew up extensive sketch layout plans for a refurbishment of a first floor kitchen and living room combined, with terrace. This involved full measurements, drafting of various plans, and options for fitted furniture, layouts, and a skylight. Also included were ideas for finishes and colour palettes, as well as materials and furniture. Two dimensional rendered images were also provided.

All of this was performed to a very high standard, and drawings were produced very quickly after a speedy and perceptive understanding of our requirements. In addition to the plans, mood boards with indications of colours and textures were produced, and images of sample fittings and furniture were collated, including flooring and lighting.

Ade Awoye himself was extremely easy to work with, showing a quick grasp of our goals, helpfully suggesting solutions from experience rather than imposing his view. I would not hesitate to work with him again, nor to recommend him to others, and I am most grateful to him for his good work." -

"I have recently had the opportunity of working with Ade Awoye. Following an extensive extension on the ground floor of my home. Ade was able to propose a lay-out design my home along with scaled drawing for planning permission.
Ade was extremely patient and helpful throughout the project having to tolerate and endure my indecisiveness. I would like to take the opportunity by thanking Ade Awoye Architects for a successful project."
